What it is
The Kiwili connector lets Claude work directly in your Kiwili account: invoices, quotes, expenses, purchase orders, accounting, projects, tasks and timesheets. You ask a question or give an instruction in plain language; Claude reads your Kiwili data through the Kiwili API and, when you confirm, writes to it.
Claude never sees your password, and the connector works only on the account you sign in to.
What you need
- A Kiwili account. API access is included in every plan (Invoicing, Retail, Projects, Premium) and during the free trial.
- External application connections must be allowed on your account (Configuration › Company profile). They are allowed by default.
- Claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Claude mobile, Claude Code or any other MCP client.
You do not need an API key, and you do not need the "Enable API" option on your user: signing in is enough.
Connect Claude to Kiwili
- In Claude, open Settings › Connectors.
- Choose Kiwili in the directory — or, for a custom connection, Add custom connector with the URL https://mcp.kiwili.com/mcp.
- Claude opens the Kiwili sign-in page. Enter your Kiwili e-mail and password (and your two-factor code if you use one). If your e-mail is attached to several Kiwili accounts, pick the one you want Claude to work with.
- Review what Claude is asking for and approve. You are returned to Claude, ready to go.

What you can ask
- Receivables — "Which invoices are overdue and by how much?", "Send me an account statement for ", "Draft a follow-up e-mail for the invoices over 60 days."
- Billing your work — "What is unbilled on project ?", "Prepare an invoice for the unbilled hours of September", "Show me the exact amounts and taxes before you create it."
- Business questions — "Sales per customer for 2025", "Hours per employee last quarter", "Expenses per category this year", "Revenue per month since January." The numbers are computed by Kiwili, not estimated by Claude.
- Accounting — "Income statement for the last fiscal year", "Trial balance as of ", "Show me the journal entries of ."
- Projects and time — "Where is project ?", "Log 3 hours on task for yesterday", "Which tasks are late?"
- Day-to-day data — create or update customers, contacts, quotes, expenses, products, services, tasks and attachments.
What Claude can and cannot do
- Reading is immediate. Creating, changing or deleting anything is marked as a write operation: Claude shows you what it is about to do and waits for your confirmation.
- Claude works with your own permissions in Kiwili: it sees exactly what your user sees, nothing more.
- The connector does not move money, does not send e-mail on your behalf without your approval, and reaches no service other than Kiwili.
Privacy and security
- The connector is hosted by Kiwili and calls only the Kiwili API for your account.
- No business data is stored by the connector: every request is forwarded to Kiwili and the answer goes straight back to Claude.
- Your Kiwili access is stored encrypted and is never shown to the AI model.
- The connection is subject to your account's daily API quota.

Revoke access
In Kiwili, open your user profile and remove the connected application; an administrator can also do it from the Company page. Claude loses access immediately. You can also disconnect the connector from Claude's settings.
